abstract = "There now exist algorithms that use both Genetic
Programming (GP) and Large Language Models (LLMs) to
evolve solutions. This is a composition of two
different methods that show some potential. We survey
GP and LLM algorithms and their applications from a GP
centric perspective. We provide a taxonomy, a breakdown
of application domains, and a categorization of the
implementation details. Finally, we discuss existing
research gaps and possible directions for future
work.",
