In this PhD thesis, new automatic programming methods based on artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm are proposed and these methods are applied to various symbolic regression problems. These methods called artificial bee colony programming (ABCP) algorithms are ABCP, quick ABCP, semantic ABCP and quick semantic ABCP. In order to see and improve the performance of these methods some studies are carried out and their results are compared with the results of other well-known methods in the literature. Furthermore, one of the problems related to civil engineering field is solved by using ABCP; studies on fitting an analytical model to standardized intensity-duration-frequency relationship data of Inland Anatolia Region. The results obtained from the thesis studies showed that the automatic programming method based on artificial bee colony is capable of being used in symbolic regression problems.",
