A review on the impact of mining operation: Monitoring, assessment and management
2020, Results in EngineeringCitation Excerpt :Monitoring of waste dump and stockpiles via other means apart from visual observation is used in most mines for managing waste dump and stockpiles. The utilization of field monitoring system such as inclinometer measurements for deep displacement monitoring and the proposal of an integrated intelligent method has been emphasised in the literature [137]. Prism monitoring is an integral part of monitoring program at most mines and could be utilized for the quantification of vertical vector, horizontal vector, slope distance displacement and displacement rate.
